Pass Benefit rules
There are some rules to take into account if you want to use the extra Eurail Pass benefits:
- Some benefits are free and some entitle you to reductions. If you travel on a Eurail Global Pass, a Eurail Select Pass, a Eurail Regional Pass or a Eurail One Country Pass, you can only use a free benefit on a day which you fill in on your Pass (a Travel day). This does not apply when you use a reduction only, this can be used anytime, within the general validity of your Pass.
- Benefits can only be obtained locally.
- For reduced travel on international shipping lines your Eurail Pass must be valid for the country of departure OR for the country of arrival. For free travel, the Pass must be valid in the country of departure AND the country of arrival. For domestic shipping lines, your Eurail Pass must be valid in the country you travel in.
